Moon Update #7
Yaxlich is disappointed. Not a lot really happened. He was expecting the man on the moon to do lots of funny things but he didn't. He shimmered for a bit. He got embarrassed for a bit but, apart from that, he didn't do much else. Oh well. At least Yaxlich can cross off Watch Lunar Eclipse And Blog About It on his list of things to do before he dies. Next stop: Watching Paint Dry. |

It was nice when it went a bit orange and slightly violet, but a lot of the shadow just made it look like... well, like it often does.
At least you got to fucking see it. The tall buildings here in NYC blocked my view, dammit.
I couldn't see it either... the timing was off :(
Please watch paint dry and blog it. I am sure it will be as funny as only Yaxlich can make dull things funny.
We stayed up here to watch it but in this part of France the moon was covered by cloud so we didn't see it at all.
Never mind, saw the photo on the BBC website this morning to find out what we'd missed.
Unfortunately the whole family is just getting over tummy bugs so we couldn't even indulge in alcohol to see us through the night, so you see, your evening was probably more interesting than ours after all.
thanks for keeping us up to date. Yaxlich is mor einteresting than sky news. No offence intended.
I lit a large bonfire to show the moon they way back from the shadow.
It all gets very peculiar after that......
Huw - Yaxlich was expecting something a bit more exciting, it has to be said.
The Girl - Whilst Yaxlich got to see a blurry, funny coloured moon, The Girl got to see tall buildings in New York. He knows which he'd rather have been watching.
Terra Shield - There really wasn't much to see. Lunar eclipses aren't all they're cracked up to be.
Wendz - Yaxlich will purchase some paint with his first pay cheque and will watch it dry just for you.
Sablonneuse - The BBC website makes it seem a lot more exciting than it actually was.
Billyboy - No offence taken. Yaxlich, however, isn't available on cable.
Meredic - This sounds like an interesting story which the rest of the class would be interested in hearing.
Keith thinks that Meredic had been to the local pub as well, hence the peculiar bit afterwards.
Keith
See a total solar eclipse. That is fun. I went to Turkey last year to see one. My nipples were tingling for days afterwards. Ooh - they've started tingling again just thinking about it.
Keith - Did you not see Meredic lighting a bonfire in the car park of the pub?
Quick - Are you related to The Girl?
Probably not. I just get totally tingly nipples when I think about the total solar eclipse in Turkey. I hope this has cleared things up. Sorry about the confusion.
Yaxlich is looking forward to his first "tingly nipples" Googlie with great anticipation.
