Paper Cut
Yaxlich has got a paper cut on his finger. It really stings. He nearly cried when he did it but he didn't because he's brave like that. Why do paper cuts hurt so much? Yaxlich once sawed through the top of his finger and it didn't hurt as much. It was in woodwork class when he was about 13. The girl on the bench next to him had big boobies so she had Yaxlich's undivided attention. As a result, about 30 seconds later, she also had Yaxlich's divided finger. Strangely enough, though, it didn't hurt nearly as much as the paper cut. Yaxlich knows that some medical people sometimes read his blog. Can they answer the question as to why paper cuts hurt so much? Even if you're not a medical person, you can answer but only if you dress up like a nurse. And send pictures. |

Anon, dressed up in nurses uniform sends 'kiss it better' feelings.
Sorry no pics or we will be having a Beefy McManstick post next.
Anonymous says this like it's a bad thing.
When Yaxlich talks about his Beefy McManstick Anon gets a tummy pain.
Paper cuts hurt because tiny paper fibers remain in the wound. At least that's what she and she said.
Anonymous - it's probably wind
Lizza - did you wear a nurses uniform when you posted that?
Is Yaxlich in need of some smelling salts?
Nurse! Nurse! - could one of you please mop my sweaty brow?
I'd don't think you'd want to see me in a nurses uniform, it would probably make your Beefy McManstick shrivel up and start growing inwards.
Vote JonnyB.
MTS' medical opinion is that Lizza is right - there are sharp-pain fibres that are still in action working around the site of a paper cut. When Yaxlich unintentionally removed the end of his finger he chopped the sharp-pain fibres right off. All that were left were the dumb, dull, slow-pain fibres, which are easier to ignore.
MTS has declined to pose as a nurse on account of actually being "a medical person", and in any case she gets asked if she's a nurse so often she figured it might be a nice change not to look like one.
Did Yaxlich get that bit of finger put back on? Or should all his readers be extra appreciative that Yaxlich blogs even though he only has 9 & 1/2 fingers?
Yaxlich only lost the top of his left index finger. You probably wouldn't even notice it if you met him in the street but it has never grown back properly.
