Blogger Smells Of Big Jobs
Yaxlich has now officially had enough of Blogger and it's bogey ridden Beta product. He refuses to be forced into switching to the new version. Google is trying to make Blogger Alpha/Classic users switch by disabling their ability to leave comments on other peoples blogs unless they 'upgrade' to Beta. He has been unable to leave comments on a lot of his Blogger friends sites over the last week because Google, in their infinite wisdom, have decided to make it nigh on impossible for him to do so. Enough is enough. Yaxlich has never liked bullies and he refuses to be treated like this. Google Blogger modification type people? You smell of big jobs. |

Ah see this is why Ignorminious doesn't use Blogger but instead writes all his own scripts, stored on his own webspace. No one tells Ignorminious to upgrade.
That said, on the flipside, Ignorminious has to fix everything himself and when he wants to add a new feature he has to start from scratch.
ignorminious does have a point. but it is much more work.
I stumbled across yaxlich's blog back when he posted a bit on littleredboat, and i have been reading it ever since.
i like it!
Yeah Big Blogger sucks. This is why I installed Haloscan - because nobody could comment anymore...Blogger is indeed a bully.
The thing is...there aren't really any other blog platforms that I like sufficiently to make a change...I've tried quite a few and to get a decent blog one must PAY for it. Pah!
So what does one do then? I'm trying to learn html so I can do my own webpage as well but although it's not difficult it is tedious.
Kill Blogger, Kill Blogger, Kill Blogger.
Wow.. Booger actually let Prometheus comment!
Yay for Yaxlich! Stick it to Gooooooooogly!
MTS is drunk. She assumes Yaxlich will understand.
PS: She has figured out that the word verification is there to keep really drunk people from commenting. She thinks that is very clever.
I agree! Beta is a monster... I can only comment properly in non-beta versions...
Horrible jerks, those blogger admin/tech people.
Where is Yaxlich planning to move his blog?
Here, have a beer while you think of ways to get back at Blogger.

Iggy - You are most clever indeed. A rare thing in students these days.
Goo - Yaxlich is glad to have you along for the ride.
Wendz - Yaxlich believes you can use WordPress and get it hosted for free on their servers.
Prometheus - Yaxlich likes your new name for Googles software. Booger. Hehehe.
MTS - Yaxlich certainly does understand being drunk. He was too about...ooooh...roughly when this post was published.
Terra Shield - Google are nothing but big bullies.
Lizza - Yaxlich is unsure exactly what he is going to do but, rest assured, he will let everyone know before he does it.
yay! I'm with Yaxlich. I have not had problems commenting, but then maybe that's because all my favorite blogs also refuse to switch? I do not plan to switch.
Well let us all know where you go to. We don't want to miss you!
Sally
Zapaper - Yaxlich thinks this is part of Googles plan to force everyone to switch. He notes that even famous bloggers are having the same problems.
Sally - Yaxlich will certainly let everyone know once he's decided what he's going to do. He's just so fed up with this mess that he feels it's time to have a change.
If you are looking at the Wordpress route, speak to Anna or Petite. As I understand it they both use it so can tell you how it is. My webhost has just added an option to allow bloggers to automatically install wordpress onto their webspace if they wish to use it.
Yaxlich will certainly speak with these two fine ladies should the WordPress option be the one he chooses to take.
Blogged about exactly the same problem. One of my beloved readers mentioned that if you press 'preview' before 'publish' when you comment, then it often works. So far, she is right! Hooray.
Yaxlich can't even get Blogger to recognise him, let alone anything else but he will see if this cack handed approach will work with Googles latest tool for world domination.
